The South Brook vineyard is located in the Fairhall Valley within the Marlborough Southern Valleys New Zealand. The varying microclimates in this plot create a unique and complex red wine. Youthful and joyful it’s brimming with cherry blackcurrant raspberry plum chocolate rose vanilla five spice cedar dried herbs toasted nuts smoke and a seasoning of pepper and sea salt. This Pinot Noir is wonderful now but it will continue to improve over the next five years. If you do decide to go in now it responds very well to decanting.
Rapaura (pronounced ‘ra-para’) Springs was the New Zealand Wine Producer of the Year at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2015. Utilising the underground pure water springs that create a little oasis in the Marlborough landscape they craft absolutely joyful Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. They also get a little help from Master of Wine and New Zealand guru Bob Campbell who consults on each vintage to make sure they create the finest wines.
