XO Rum

Containing a blend of rums aged between from 6 to 23 years old, Ron Zacapa XO is one of the oldest, richest and most complex expressions of rum produced today. Made in Guatamala from the finest “virgin” sugar cane, and following distillation in a single column still, Ron Zacapa XO Year Old is matured slowly at a staggering 2,300 metres above sea level in a “solera-system” manner, which brings balance and imparts complexity to the spirit. In addition, Ron Zacapa XO acquires an additional element of sophistication and roundness from a final “resting” period in French oak barrels. The resultant rum is gloriously rich, forward and indulgent, displaying a plethora of honey, raisin, treacle and nutmeg flavours set amongst a full luxurious texture and sweet, indulgent backdrop. This limited edition rum comes beautifully packaged in a highly collectable embossed pyramid shape glass decanter.
