10 Year Old Cider Brandy

Cider brandy is a domestically produced traditional English brandy that dates back to the late seventeenth century. Once a widely enjoyed and popular drink, the category had gradually fallen out of favour, being overlooked in favour of French brandy and other spirits. The Somerset Cider Company has however reignited interest, focusing on producing quality aged expressions of Cider Brandy that offer impressive complexity and a distinct point of difference. Stylistically, these brandies possess a mellowness and depth of colour with a profile similar to aged Calvados. This particular release has been distilled from local vintage Somerset cider apples and then matured for ten years in small oak barrels. This results in a smooth, subtle brandy brimming with a fruit-laden complexity and marked with Christmas pudding richness. A deliciously different style of brandy which deserves to be taken very seriously indeed and offers great value for money.
