This Bordeaux blend is Claret meets the clean, freshness of New Zealand. It’s not hard to see why this is Te Mata’s bestseller…
Juicy black cherry, toasted almonds, dates, crème de cassis, plum crumble, herbes de Provence and rosemary light up the palate. Powerful, popular, modern and refreshingly different; it’s the Jacinda Ardern of the wine world and certainly gets the people's vote.
Nestled in the heart of Hawke’s Bay, Te Mata is one of the few New Zealand’s wineries that can claim to have been established in the 19th Century. The Estate vineyards were first planted in 1892 on free-draining, north-facing slopes – the distinctive shape of the hills and unique soil composition make these sites a perfect location for grape growing. Having been in continuous operation since 1895, this independent, family-owned winery is New Zealand’s oldest and one of the most highly regarded and internationally recognised.
