Crème de Banane Liqueur
Banana may well be the world’s favourite fruit, but most banana liqueurs taste nastily synthetic and overly sweet. Lucky for us, Tempus Fugit Spirits are here with their old-school recipe Crème de Banane. Crafted by distilling tiny batches of ripe bananas, this amber-coloured spirit tastes like fresh banana, banana bread, pancakes topped with banana and drizzled with honey, and flambéed banana and vanilla ice cream.
We love to get creative with this Crème de Banane and dark rum. But you can also use it to add a tropical twist to cocktails like the Caipirinha, Pina Colada or Daiquiri. It’s also wonderful just drizzled over high-quality vanilla ice cream and topped with some toasted nuts.
Tempus Fugit means “time flies”, and it certainly does when you’re drinking cocktails made with these beautifully packaged Swiss spirits. Tempus Fugit Spirits are dedicated to the art of the well-made cocktail. While most of us are prone to focus on the quality of the “main” spirit in a cocktail, such as gin, vodka, whisky, rum, etc., Tempus Fugit dedicate themselves to the rarer spirits or “modifiers” from the pre-Prohibition era, and these are the ones that can really make or break the classic cocktails. Many lesser producers often use unnatural colouring, industrial methods and artificial flavours knowing full well that most people won’t drink them neat and realise that they’re awful. But Tempus Fugit aren’t like that, they seek out long lost, centuries-old recipes and rare, high-quality ingredients, and lovingly combine them in a very old-school, small-batch production, just as it would have been done back in the day. This is the spirit of history.£5 per 100.00ml
