These Salted Caramel Florentines are one of the most popular treats on the menu at The Wolseley. Handmade by artisans in Dorset to an exclusive and very secret recipe, they’re a chewy and crunchy combination of flaked almonds and hazelnuts, citrus peel, sultanas and stem ginger, all dipped in smooth salted caramel chocolate. Elevating an afternoon cup of tea to new heights of decadence, eight have been slid into a reusable white and black tin inspired by the interior of world-famous café. 

In 1921, an English architect by the name of William Curtis Green was commissioned by Wolseley Motors Limited to design a prestigious car showroom at 160 Piccadilly, London. In 1927 it was taken over by Barclays Bank and for its combination of British heritage and European grandeur, became known as “Piccadilly’s Shining Pearl”. In 2003, it was renovated by the restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King and reopened as London’s first Grand Café.

Retaining its banking counter, managers’ offices, domed ceiling and monochrome geometric marble flooring, this beautiful space has become one of the places to be seen in the capital. Particularly famed for its Afternoon Tea. Now you can take the luxurious and indulgent experience of The Wolseley home, with a new range of teas, coffees, preserves and confectionery inspired by the restaurant’s architectural design.
