Thursday Cottage was launched in 1963 from a house of the same name in Somerset. In 2002 the owners, Hugh and Pam Corbin, sold the company to Tiptree – one of the most famous names in the world of jam – and the production was relocated to Trewlands Farm in Essex. Although Thursday Cottage has moved across the country, their small-batch, award-winning jams, marmalades and curds are still made the old-fashioned way in open pans using the finest fruits. Where possible, they are also filled into jars by hand, because you can get more whole fruit in that way.
