Mâcon-Péronne Les Légères 2021 was vinified and aged in barrels creating a fruit-forward Chardonnay with layers of peach red apple zesty citrus crunchy pear white pepper and smoky struck flint. This zippy and moreish wine is drinking beautifully now so we recommend snapping it up and tucking in immediately.
Like many of Verget’s Mâcons this is a wine with depth and seriousness. It was sourced from a small plot near Viré-Clessé. With very similar clay-limestone soils and old vines consider this great value white a mini Viré-Clessé.
