The Apprentice Single Harvest Tawny Port 1994
The Cellar Master’s Trilogy is a series of rare aged Single Harvey Tawny Ports created by one of Portugal’s finest producers and a Royal Warrant Holder, Graham’s.
The Apprentice 1994 pays homage to the new generation of future Cellar Masters. One of the first Ports Charles Symington helped his father to create during his apprenticeship and an outstanding vintage that’s still whispered about by those in the know. Sourced from the finest plots of Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta das Lages, it reminds us of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul – rose Turkish delight, baklava, spices, dried fruits, aromatic wood and coffee. Bottled at around 25 years old, this is a veritable holiday for the senses.
Established in 1820, Graham’s is one of the most famous names in the Port trade and has long been synonymous with the greatest vintage Ports. The Symington family acquired the company from the Graham family in 1970, so today Graham's remains a wholly family-owned firm. They are not only the world’s leading producer of premium Port, but also the biggest vineyard owner in the Douro Valley – a UNESCO World Heritage Site of jaw-dropping beauty.
