Buried beneath the sand on a desert island we’ve uncovered a limited-edition gift box containing a bottle of The Original Rum from Bumbu Rum Company and a pair of deluxe rocks glasses to sip it from.
The Original from Bumbu Rum Co. is based on the recipe created by 16th and 17th Century sailors of the West Indies who blended native Caribbean ingredients into their rum and called it Bumbu – truly the original craft spirit. Using the same all-natural native spices and no artificial colours or flavours Bumbu is an authentic revival of this piece of Caribbean history distilled in small batches and blended by hand in Barbados. Crafted using premium sugarcane from several different islands throughout the West Indies the resulting rum is spicy and flavoursome with immense character and a layered richness. Delicious when served either straight up or over ice Bumbu is also a highly versatile tot to enjoy in a range of cocktails.
