Probably one of the most difficult single malts to pronounce but Bunnahabhain is without doubt one of the easiest to drink. With no chill-filtration and no added colour this 12-Year-Old bottling with its nautical appearance has been described by Whisky Advocate as: “Very comforting. Extra points for versatility – this whisky will accommodate many moods and situations.” Brimming with nut-topped apple crumble flecked with sultanas malted milk biscuits creamy vanilla fudge bay leaf salty sea spray and just a wisp of smoke and sherry; it’s a refreshing Islay for all seasons.

Pronounced ‘boona-havn’ it’s the most northerly of the island’s distilleries and it likes to do things a little differently. Rather than chasing ever peatier and smokier styles like its neighbours Bunnahabhain creates unpeated or lightly peated silky smooth and creamily drinkable drams.
