This giant of a Single Malt is the next bold step in The Causeway Collection an exclusive and elusive series by Bushmills inspired by the Giant’s Causeway.
Triple distilled in 2000 this limited-edition Irish Single Malt was filled into rare first-fill Ruby Port casks where it remained for 20 years. Bottled at cask strength and released in 2021 this is a giant stride for Bushmills brimming with luscious red fruits. The fortified wine barrels have imparted notes of wild strawberry summer raspberry homemade jam plum toffee caramel allspice pink grapefruit and sweet chilli not to mention that jaw-dropping red-gold colour. Only 2 322 bottles were made available for the United Kingdom and with Irish whiskey going through a renaissance we don’t expect our allocation to hang around for long.
Granted a license to distil in 1608 Bushmills stakes its claim as the oldest distillery in the world. Their unwavering longevity is a testament to the quality of the spirit and its fanatical following. And any whiskey that’s good enough for F. Scott Fitzgerald and James Joyce is pretty good in our book.
