The release of each year’s new M de Minuty artist collaboration is always one of the highlights of the calendar at Harvey Nichols. For the 2021 vintage Minuty teamed up with Léa Amati an illustrator and tattoo artist who lives in the suburbs of Paris. Working with colour natural elements and abstract faces she’s inspired by her surroundings saying “I love the simple things of life that make me feel good.” So when she was asked to visit Saint-Tropez and sample the delights of Château Minuty it was inevitable that she’d fall in love with the sun on the water sailboats bobbing on the waves and the maritime vibes.
Léa’s vision for the M de Minuty bottle – launched exclusively through Harvey Nichols – is inspired by sunrises and sunsets on the beach. The yellow and blue shades perfectly capture the sea and the sun. Combine those with the delicate pink of the rosé within the bottle and the effect is magical. Once again it feels like a wine that could quite easily set the colour palette of our wardrobe this summer. One of the world’s most desirable rosés just became even more attractive.
The Matton-Farnet family has owned and run Château Minuty for over eight decades and they bottle what can only be described as the true spirit of Saint-Tropez. Surrounded by protective forests and with stunning views down to the sea they’re one of the few estates who still handpick their grapes. This expressive rosé comes from the very best vineyards in Côtes de Provence and is bursting with notes of blood orange peel wild strawberry redcurrant and pink grapefruit. Unite with lashings of summer sunshine Breton stripes and oversized sunglasses local dishes such as pistou pissaladière ratatouille and bouillabaisse or pad thai prawn kebabs raw dishes barbeques and summery tacos with tropical fruit salsas.
