“Fresh and fragrant with red-berry and floral notes and just a hint of vanilla oak. Attractive weight and balance the wine precise and contained. Classic in style with a certain presence.” – Jancis Robinson’s Purple Pages

2018 was a year of extreme conditions however the wines were spectacular with Jancis Robinson describing them as: “Powerful deep-coloured wines with no shortage of (generally well-managed) tannins suggest this may be one of the region’s longer-lived vintages.” So don’t miss out on this Château Noaillac from Médoc.

Always a wine that offers good value Château Noaillac is velvety in texture with a complex mix of blackberries raspberries cassis wild strawberries campfires wildflowers graphite Christmas spices cocoa toast and a pinch of sea salt. For the money this is seriously hard to beat.

Purchased in 1982 by the Pagès family (also owners of the Château La Tour de By) there’s been big investment in this Cru Bourgeois and now Château Noaillac is on the rise. Located right in the north of Médoc practically on the coast as the Gironde estuary opens into the Bay of Biscay. This cool area means that Noaillac can produce complex wines without the grapes overcooking.
