Cocchi Americano is a Vermouth style aromatised wine which has been in production since 1891. Based on an all-natural recipe containing white wine sugar herbs and spices Artemisia flowers gentian roots and orange peel this unique aperitif is aged in oak for over one year before being bottled. The name Americano derives from the emerging early twentieth century habit in America of drinking Vermouths mixed with bitter spirits and gin – thus creating a drink called a “cocktail”. Traditionally served in a tumbler glass over ice Cocchi Americano is also delicious served long with soda water or when used as a characterful component in an array of martini style cocktails.
