Dalmore is one of the world’s most iconic names in whisky and represents a resounding favourite with collectors and enthusiasts alike. The distillery’s roots date back to pre-1839 and the collection boasts some of the rarest oldest and most sublimely finessed single malts in the whisky world. Each expression of The Dalmore is matured in two different types of wooden casks: American white ex-oak bourbon casks and exclusive aged sherry casks from Gonzalez Byass. Each sherry cask is hand selected and gives the whisky a deep copper colour and flavours of crushed almonds cinnamon ginger and citrus. Each American white oak ex-bourbon cask gifts the whisky with flavours of intense vanilla spice honey and tropical fruits. This gives the whiskies produced a rich and opulent style with a silky texture and tremendous depth of flavour. This flagship release spent twelve years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before going through a three year finish in three different sherry woods. Rich and aromatic aromas of marmalade cinnamon and nutmeg are dominant whilst the palate suggests flavours of mandarin vanilla crushed apple and ginger. Robust yet elegant this expression delivers a rich and aromatic taste experience. Awards include a Gold Medal at the International Whisky Competition 2010 and a Double Gold Medal San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2009.
