“This is a light fresh finesse-full and delicately fruity Rosé of great purity and elegance.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Deutz Brut Rosé Champagne is crafted predominantly with Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims but there’s also a splash of Côte des Blancs Chardonnay and red wine made from Pinot Noir grown in the lieu-dit Meurtet vineyard behind the winery in Äy. 80% of the grapes come from Premier or Grand Cru plots many of which are owned by Deutz. Matured on the lees for three years before disgorgement it’s pink ethereal and breezy style reminds us of a gentle breeze sending cherry blossom petals cascading down from the trees. You’ll discover flavours of cherry sorbet orchard blossom raspberry wild strawberry cranberry and pink grapefruit plus the development of complementary whipped cream and shortbread notes. Having a half bottle of Deutz Rosé on hand is one of life’s little treats and that cute little box makes that experience super giftable.

Champagne Deutz was founded by a pair of Germans – William Deutz and Pierre Glederman – in 1838 but now falls under the stewardship of the Rouzauds – one of the wine world’s most powerful families and owners of Champagne Louis Roederer Domaines Ott Ramos Pinto Maison Delas and of course Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. Possibly the most beautiful property in all of Champagne and “one of my absolute favourite houses” according to renowned Champagne expert Richard Juhlin. Rumour has it that there’s always a chilled bottle of Deutz waiting for her wherever Madonna goes.
