As huge fans of everything Guigal do, we’re super-excited to introduce their gorgeous Côtes-du-Rhône Rosé to our range. This is a much richer and fruitier rosé than those wishy-washy Provence style ones that seem so omnipresent these days. It was crafted using a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault and 10% Syrah picked from some of the finest terroir in the Rhône valley. Seductive and rounded, it pulses with raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry, pink grapefruit and crème de cassis. For us, it tastes like summer fruit sorbet meets a well-crafted kir. We’ll be drinking this vegan-friendly rosé throughout the summer and beyond.
E. Guigal is a simply legendary winery, which has passed from founder Etienne to his son Marcel, and now on to his grandson Philippe. According to Robert Parker, it’s “a qualitative locomotive that has brought attention to the Rhône Valley, raising the quality bar for the entire region.” And Parker has backed this up by awarding it more perfect 100-point scores than any other producer on the planet.
