Domaine François Carillon is the long-lasting legacy of a wine family business that dates back to the 16th century in Puligny-Montrachet, nestled in the village in the south of Côte de Beaune –Burgundy’s most renowned area of land for producing white wines. After their father retired in 2010, the was split between François and his brother, Louis. Balancing passion and precision, the brothers continue to produce fine, elegant and gourmet wines from the heart of the village, over a sixteen-hectare vineyard located in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin.

Intense, expressive, fruity and super-fine, François Carillon’s Puligny Montrachet is an absolute classic and a flagship of the estate. Farmed organically with a mushroom-based top dressing (no weed killers, just ploughing by horse or tractor), it hails from four hectares of 20-50-year-old vines, spread over seven lieux-dits: Derrière la Velle, Reuchaux, Corvee, Aubues, Tremblots, Les Noyer Bret and Les Rousselles. With 100% Chardonnay grapes pressed and exquisitely processed into each bottle, Puligny Montrachet is truly a textbook white Burgundy. Think aromas of white flowers on the nose, offering a textured palate before leading into a wonderfully saline, mineral structure.
