Hacien pronounced ‘ah-syen’ is a tribute to the plantations that first made Tequila and one of the UK’s most iconic nightclubs – The Haçienda in Manchester. The name is a nod to Tequila’s roots its love of nightlife and the fact that this particular Mexican spirit has a unique link to the north of England.
The brand was founded by a group of agave enthusiasts from Leeds. Scared that the UK’s shot culture would ruin the reputation of their beloved spirit they set out to create their own super-premium Tequila for sipping and cocktails.
Hacien Cristalino is a Tequila Añejo crafted from finest agave in Jalisco aged in oak barrels and then filtered with charcoal to remove the colour. This means that you get all that rich barrel-aged flavour but without discolouring your cocktails. Deep and creamy with notes of honey forest floor roasted agave sweet toffee truffle and pink peppercorn Cristalino makes a wonderful twist on the Espresso Martini Old Fashioned or French 75.
