The celebrated cellist Nathan Waks heads up a syndicate that owns the award-winning wineries Seppeltsfield and Clare Valley’s Kilikanoon Wines the latter being where this wine is made. Conducted by winemaker Kevin Mitchell the team at Kilikanoon orchestrate their own kind of beautiful music using grapes from low-yielding premium vineyards across South Australia.
Gently vinified and aged in small French and American oak cask this vegan-friendly Shiraz displays bass notes of dark orchard fruit compote accompanied by a vibrant melody of ripe plums and black cherries rising to a crescendo of peppery spices silky tannins and balanced acidity. Immediately approachable this masterpiece will also reward further cellaring for up to eight years.
