Lovingly created using Portobello Road Gin (made just a couple of miles from our flagship store in Knightsbridge) cranberry juice sage syrup cherry puree fresh lemon juice cranberry liqueur and dash of warming Port. Perfect for ‘stuffing’ into a stocking or for adding all the trimmings to your Christmas cocktail party our Cranberry & Sage Sour is mixed in small batches and tastes as if a bartender had mixed it in front of your very eyes. Guaranteed to wow guests at any party it’s the must-have cocktail for the most wonderful time of the year. Alternatively why not serve it alongside the turkey? Those two will snuggle together as cosily as pigs in blankets.
Sours are widely acknowledged to be some of the oldest and most important of all the cocktails. Popularised by the British Navy a Sour consists simply of a base spirit a sweetener and lots of citrus. Without this family of cocktails there would be no Collins Margarita or Daiquiri and nobody would know what to do with Pisco. Normally you can find us mixing up Amaretto Sours over the holiday season but not this year because we have a new and far more Christmassy version.
Small enough to easily fit in the fridge this cute metal bottle contains a single-serving cocktail. There’s nothing weird no preservatives and no widgets just a little bit of air in the top so that when you shake it it gets a proper mix. The result is a bar-quality cocktail at home without all that clackety noise and without having to make sure your ice cube trays are full you have all the ingredients and you can find the cocktail shaker. Simply pop it in the fridge and when it’s chilled right down shake it vigorously for ten seconds to aerate and mix then pour the contents into a short glass filled with ice.
