Slightly green slightly grassy extremely refreshing China tea. Too often overlooked Oolong is one of our absolute favourites because it has the richness and power of a black tea combined with the aromatic herbiness and cleansing feel of a green tea. The tea leaves are plucked allowed to semi-oxidise rolled into small beads and then roasted. Describing the flavour of this delectable brew we find ourselves falling into the language of fine wine or Scotch whisky; there are floral nutty and buttery notes accompanied by honey grass fresh herbs and toasted wood. Steep for at least three minutes and enjoy on its own – milk and sugar are up to you – or alongside herby or smoky dishes wok-fried greens or even chocolate.
