The wines are judged on the demand in the market over at least a decade rather than simply relying on one critic’s opinion on a single vintage tasting. Cyril Henschke first made Mount Edelstone in 1952 when the vines were 40 years old. Six decades later this single-vineyard wine is still one of Australia’s most spectacular. From biodynamically farmed centenarian vines this Shiraz is a superstar.
