Herencia De Plata – meaning ‘heritage of silver’ – is lovingly crafted by Tequilas del Señor in Jalisco Mexico. The distillery was founded in 1943 and has been creating some of the country’s finest Tequila for four generations. When the President of Mexico visited the UK in 2002 he was rumoured to have shared a bottle of Herencia de Plata with Queen Elizabeth II and the Lord Mayor of London. Although probably inspired by a tahona stone or a dumpy pot still the Herencia de Plata bottle always reminds us of a curling stone but this far too precious and elixir to be flinging across the ice. Maybe just pour it gently over some ice and then curl your lips around it.
