Prendimé Gianduja Chocolate 150g
This triple layered Gianduja Chocolate bar is handcrafted in Tuscany using the most wonderful hazelnuts from Piedmont. The Tonda Gentile Trilobata hazelnuts have their own protected geographical indication (Indicazione Geografica Protetta or IGP), placing them right up there with some of the country’s finest foods and wines, and making them without question the finest hazelnuts in the world. Gianduja is a combination of hazelnut paste and chocolate, creating a creamy, nutty and silky textured treat that melts delightfully in the mouth.
Lead by their passionate founder Cecilia Tessieri, Amedei produces some of Europe’s finest chocolate. Starting up in 1990 crafting praline in a tiny workshop, Cecilia became the first woman to hold the title of Maître Chocolatier and now seeks out rare cocoa beans and plantations from all four corners of the globe. Amedei is a six-time winner of the Academy of Chocolate’s “Golden Bean” award, they’ve topped taste tests in BBC Good Food Magazine and Michel Roux Jr has described their chocolate as “a real treat for me at the end of a hard day in the kitchen.” All of their products are lovingly produced in Tuscany and are gluten free and soya free, with no colouring or artificial flavours. Their Prendimé range – even the name begs you to choose it – comes in a size that’s ideal for sharing, although you’d be completely forgiven for keeping it all to yourself.
