Venison Pâté 100g

No need to wait for open season – simply open a jar of Artemonte’s Venison Pâté at any time. Richly gamey, meaty and packed with Mediterranean herbs; we adore it served on toasted granary bread, or sourdough brushed with a raw garlic clove and maybe a little apricot-based chutney. The flavour of deer also combines wonderfully with the juniper in a gin and tonic, or the blackberry flavours of a good Rhône or Ribera del Duero red.

Artemonte is an artisan game specialist based on the Andalucia-Castilla-La Mancha border in Spain. This young team works hard to tweak and improve the traditional recipes past down by their ancestors. Their range of pâtés has the texture of foie gras, a very characteristic earthy and gamey flavour, and oodles of spice.
