Blackdown Silver Birch Vermouth was one of England’s first white vermouths. Sweet nectar is tapped from silver birch trees as the sap rises in the spring. Think of it as the UK’s answer to Canada’s maple syrup. The sap is then fermented to create a silver birch wine, which is then fortified and infused with herbs and spices, including wormwood. The result is a vermouth like no other, with a creamy feel, alongside herbal wormwood, piney juniper, grassy chamomile and peppery spice notes.
