Tasting Notes
90 points, “There are subtle notes of jasmine and orange blossom in the nose of the 2020 Estate Torrontés, which was harvested at the end of February before the heat wave at 13.5% alcohol, keeping a low pH and good acidity with grapes from vineyards at 1,700 and 2,300 meters in altitude. It was fermented in stainless steel and was kept there for one month before being bottled. The finish is very dry, with a chalky sensation akin to limestone soils and chalk.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Vegan friendly and buzzing with jasmine, orange blossom, rose, grapefruit, peach sorbet and exotic spices, this crisp white has summer sipping written all over it.
Founded in 1831, Bodega Colomé is the oldest continuously run winery in Argentina. It’s provenance and history make many in the “Old World” look decidedly, well, young. Located high up in the Calchaquí Valleys, Colomé’s vineyards are some of the highest in the world. As a result, the wines are always imbued with a unique mountain freshness.
