John Crabbie is something of a legend in the whisky world. Since 1801, his eponymous label has been creating drinks of international repute starting with Crabbie’s Ginger Wine before refining its craft to develop prized single malts. Founded amidst the pirates and smugglers of Edinburgh’s docks, he put the influx of imports to best use and in so doing was instrumental in the development of the Scottish whisky trade. Now revived two centuries on, the whisky’s are a must-have addition to any discerning drinker’s cabinet.
