Dom Pérignon Vintage Champagne 2010 - Dom Perignon

Dom Pérignon Vintage Champagne 2010

98 points, “A firm and vivid Champagne with a precise, focused palate. Full-bodied and dry. It’s very layered and bright with light pineapple, peach, praline, cooked-apple and stone aromas and flavours… Lovely to drink already, but will age nicely.” – James Suckling

18.5++ points, “A vintage Vincent Chaperon is convinced has been misguidedly overlooked… Massive intensity of complex aroma hints that this might be a little blowsy on the palate but not a bit of it. It's really tense and tight on the palate and has a certain fumey smokiness to the very concentrated palate. But its most marked feature is the persistence of the finish.” – Jancis Robinson MW

Dom Pérignon has the amazing ability to be able to create exquisite Champagne even in challenging years. 2010 chopped and changed and was doused in torrential rain. Very few houses made Vintage Champagne in 2010, but Dom Pérignon crafted a Chardonnay-dominated masterpiece. It’s shamelessly and classically DP, with smoke, salinity, slate, sourdough and spices. Don’t be one of those who underestimates this vintage, it has many great years ahead of it.

Named after the 17th century Benedictine monk credited as the person who “invented” Champagne, Dom Pérignon is one of the world’s most coveted maison in Champagne. Representing a blend composed of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, only the very best grapes are used to create Dom Pérignon with the production process employed both lengthy and meticulous in its attention to detail.
