Soberano Reserva 5 Brandy Miniature 50ml

Launched over 100 years ago to celebrate the friendship between the King of Spain and the González family, Soberano Brandy is matured in the historic González Byass bodega in Jerez. The vegan-friendly Soberano Reserva 5 is made using the popular Airén grape and aged in an American oak cask solera system* for five years. This process imparts a golden colour with red highlights, as well as sweet notes of toasted caramel, spices and touches of mature wood. Its rich and full-on character pairs wonderfully with chocolate and orange flavours when sipped neat, or it can be poured over ice and lengthened with a mixer. Personally, we love cloudy lemonade, but cola and ginger ale are also wonderful.

*A solera system is a series of barrels with the oldest on the bottom and the youngest on the top. Bottles are filled from barrels at the bottom, that row is then topped up from the next oldest on the level up and so on up the system, the gap at the top is then filled with new liquid. This never-ending process of fractional blending and constant mixing ensures consistency and results in huge complexity and a wonderful balance between the leathery older components and the fresher younger ones.
