Corbières Rosé 2018

An animal native to the fauna-rich Languedoc area of Southern France, the hare, as depicted on the front label of this bottle, has a particular connection with the Corbières appellation, where this wine is produced. These creatures can be found in vast numbers in the local woodland areas, where they are served as a delicacy in the region’s restaurants.

Produced via the Vin Gris method, our own label rosé, made principally from the indigenous red varieties of Grenache and Cinsault, is skilfully produced for us by Ollieux Romanis, one of the region’s most revered estates.

Salmon-pink in colour, the nose is graced with subtle, engaging notes of dried flora, red fruit and mixed herbs, leading to understated flavours of raspberry ripple, strawberry shortcake and an assortment of regional spices.

Delicious on its own, this versatile rosé is also the perfect accompaniment to lightly flavoured shellfish, poultry and pasta dishes.
