Part of our limited-edition Premium Range this Margaux is something exceptional as you’d expect from any Bordeaux recommended by Jonathan Maltus. It comes from Soussans a village in the Margaux appellation just north of the famous First Growth Château Margaux. Although we’ve been sworn to secrecy about exactly which château created it we can tell you that it’s a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Margaux is renowned for its elegance velvety texture and gently floral character which is why only 30% of this premium red has been matured in wood to ensure that divine delicacy isn’t overpowered by too much oak. And coming from a vintage that the experts at Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate ranked as “Extraordinary” in Margaux it’s an intriguing proposition for any Claret connoisseur.
