Highland Dry Gin 50ml
Gin is a thing of beauty. It shouldn’t be mass produced on a grubby old trading estate just off the ring road. That’s why we love Kinrara Distillery. Their Estate Edition Highland Dry Gin is handcrafted in minuscule batches on the banks of the River Spey, surrounded by the mountains of the Cairngorm National Park. Combining punchy juniper and locally foraged rosehips and rowan berries, this is as beautiful, clean and natural as its environs. Serve with lots of ice, a premium tonic and a twist of orange peel. Now available in a travel size miniature for G&Ts on the go!
Established in 2017 just outside Aviemore, the Kinrara Distillery is one of Scotland’s newest craft spirit producers. With plans to create single malt Scotch whisky and Scottish rum amidst the beauty of the Cairngorm National Park, they have kicked off with gin. Kinrara were inspired to do so by the estate’s founder Jane Maxwell, the Duchess of Gordon. She was born in the 1700s during the first gin boom and held lavish parties, including one at which Robert Burns read his poetry to the high society of Edinburgh. Couple this heritage with the fact that the local area is teaming with wild botanicals to forage, and it seems like a logical – not to mention highly delicious – decision. Kinrara’s spirits are developed in tiny volumes using a fifty litre copper pot still called Wee Alice.
