Named after the childhood home of Abraham Lincoln Knob Creek is aged for nine years in charred American white oak barrels giving this Bourbon its maple syrup aroma distinctive sweetness and that rich full-bodied flavour.
Jacob Beam sold his first barrel of whiskey back in 1795 and since then there have been master distillers in every generation of the Beam family. Booker Noe Jim Beam's great grandson created the renowned small-batch collection of which Knob Creek belongs. The long ageing process of Knob Creek creates an oaky toasty and spicy profile. It’s generously mouth-filling with sophisticated notes of candy floss apple strudel hazelnut praline dark chocolate black pepper buttered rye bread toast walnut oil vanilla caramel and charred oak make a complex idiosyncratic mix. The finish is long and intense with a persistent flavour and pleasing complexity.
