Pinot Noir Reserve 2019
92 points, “A pleasingly sour cherry note leads into blackberry, well-integrated clove spice and lifted florals on the palate. Fine, ripe tannins offer grip to this fresh, hedonistic and inviting wine.” – The International Wine & Spirit Competition 2020
The IWSC tasting panel that awarded this huge score and glowing tasting note included two Master Sommeliers and one Master of Wine, so it can’t have been easy to impress them, but it clearly did.
This soft and velvety red is brimming with strawberry, raspberry, cherry, blackberry and plum crumble notes. The silky tannins, easy-drinking style and handy screwcap make it a go-to for barbeque season.
Rapaura (pronounced ‘ra-para’) Springs was the New Zealand Wine Producer of the Year at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2015. Utilising the underground pure water springs that create a little oasis in the Marlborough landscape, they craft absolutely joyful Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. They also get a little help from Master of Wine and New Zealand guru Bob Campbell, who consults on each vintage to make sure they create the finest wines.
