Simpsons Wine Estate

Located just outside Canterbury – twinned with Reims in the heart of Champagne and home to very similar lime-rich chalky soils – you’ll discover Simpsons Wine Estate. Ruth and Charles Simpson spent 17 years perfecting their art at their award-winning Domaine Sainte Rose in Languedoc, before setting up their new venture in the stunning Elham Valley. Bought in 2012, planted in 2014 and opened by Oz Clarke in 2016, this has to be one of the greatest vineyard sites in Britain and the attention to detail is second to none. This is no doubt why Taittinger asked them for help on their sparkling wines and why Simpsons Wine Estate is producing probably the finest still wines in the land.
