Particella 232 Nature Prosecco Superiore NV
In the hills between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, where many of Italy’s finest sparkling wines are crafted, there’s currently a real buzz around a drier style of Prosecco and a focus on terroir. So keeping you bang on trend, we’re excited to announce that the talented Bronca sisters – creators of our bestselling Harvey Nichols Prosecco – have allowed us exclusive access to a new organic cuvée of a bone-dry Prosecco from a tiny, remote plot high in the hills of Farro di Follina.
The Sorelle family adore this inaccessible parcel of 40-year-old vines and have kept much of it to themselves until now. Particella 232 Nature is aged for four months on the lees and has no sugar in it all. This caused it to grab the attention of Decanter Magazine, who awarded it 93 points and highlighted it in their Top 10 picks of “the drier side of Prosecco”. Their experts described it as follows:
“Super-fine mousse. Perfumed, floral nose, with violets and wild herbs. Citrus attack rounding out with ripe stone fruit. Firm, with a long salty and almondy finish.”
Grown on soils of clay and rocks carried there by an ancient glacier, the Glera, Bianchetta and Perera grapes create an incredibly creamy, elegant and concentrated wine. We fell in love with its notes of pear sorbet, white flowers and the seashore instantly, and couldn’t recommend it highly enough as an aperitif or served with sashimi, savoury dishes that incorporate apples and pears, or crisp salads in the sunshine.
