Taylor’s 20 Year Old Tawny Port is matured in 630 litre oak casks for two decade before being filled into this bottle and it’s our favourite in the range. Spicy jammy and nutty this phenomenal Port is bursting with figs in syrup marzipan black tea candied orange peel antique furniture caramel glacé cherries toasted walnuts and fruitcake. Mellow and unctuous but with a clean dry finish that has you reaching for the glass again almost as soon as you’ve swallowed. Serve lightly chilled alongside almond-based desserts crème brûlée chocolate or strong cheese particularly blue cheese. Were we this wonderfully mature at 20 years of age?
