Extra Brut Extra Old - Veuve Clicquot

Veuve Clicquot

Extra Brut Extra Old

The history of this famous Champagne house dates back to 1772, when Philippe Clicquot founded a wine making business under the name Clicquot. In 1810 this was renamed Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin after the young widow Barbe Nicole Ponsardin who inherited the estate. Ever in pursuit of excellence and innovation, Madame Clicquot used her skills to develop an exceptional wine growing territory and went on to establish what is today one of the most famous names in Champagne.
Crafted with the aim of giving a new expression of the Veuve Clicquot style, this release sees double ageing and a lighter dosage than the iconic Yellow Label. A crisper, drier style of champagne, with enticing notes of apples, sweet spices, brioche and toast.
