The Malbecs from Viniterra just fly out whether we put them on our wine lists or the shelves of our wine shops. Find out what all the fuss is about with their Malbec 2018.
Grown in Luján de Cuyo – widely regarded as Argentina’s finest winemaking area – it’s a fleshy fruit fest of blackberries, plums and blackcurrants, layered with dark chocolate, gingerbread spices, dried wildflowers and toasty oak. Life-affirming in its warmth and drinkability, fill the rack with this for barbeque season, steak nights, parties and comfort food.
Viniterra was set up by Adriano Senetiner, a winemaker and entrepreneur from Parma with more than 50 years’ experience on the cutting edge of fine wine. He has instilled into them a real passion for their unique terroir. Their grapes are grown over a kilometre above sea level, all of their wines are vegan friendly, and in 2017 the International Wine & Spirit Competition crowned them Best Malbec of the Year. Considering the sheer volume of Malbec produced in Argentina alone, this latter point perfectly demonstrates the quality coming out of Viniterra.
