Tasting Notes
93 points, “Really serious, powerful yet delicious.” – International Wine Challenge 2021
91 points, “Elegant and suave, with a big aromatic hit of eucalyptus that makes it invigorating too. Then it is typically Graham's – meaning sweet and delicious.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Graham’s Late Bottled Vintage Port 2015 has been crowned a “Great Value Winner” at the International Wine Challenge 2021 and has been described as “a versatile Port for Christmas” by Decanter Magazine.
This deep red-black LBV is blended from wines of one single year and aged in seasoned oak casks for around five years allowing the wine’s character to fully develop before bottling. It doesn’t need decanting, so you can dive straight in and enjoy its notes of blackberries, black plum, liquorice, pomegranate, rose petal, menthol, star anise and other festive spices. This half-sized bottle would be a fine choice for rich chocolate desserts, Christmas fare and cheeseboards, especially those with a big slab of Stilton or Cheddar.
Established in 1820, Graham’s is one of the most famous names in the Port trade and has long been synonymous with the greatest vintage Ports. The Symington family acquired the company from the Graham family in 1970, so today Graham's remains a wholly family-owned firm. The Symington family are trusted hands because they are the world’s leading producer of premium Port and the biggest vineyard owner in the Douro Valley – a UNESCO World Heritage Site of jaw-dropping beauty. The company is also B-Corp Certified, which means they are also on it when it comes to the environment, sustainability, their people, their supply chain and giving back to the community.
