Our prayers were answered when some bright sparks combined two of humankind’s greatest foodstuffs to create Jaffa Cake Gin but now those same geniuses have done it again.
Jaffa Cake Rum takes the finest Caribbean rum and blends it with oranges fresh orange peel cocoa powder and we kid you not actual Jaffa Cakes. And like its predecessor it’s unimaginably delicious.
Still very much a serious rum and not a sickly-sweet liqueur it tastes uncannily like everybody’s favourite orange-based baked treat. Full-on chocolate sponge cake and marmalade-y orange combine with the rum’s spicy stem ginger bruised tropical fruit vanilla and third wave coffee notes. We’re definitely going to soak raisins in it and then scatter them over ice cream. Probably tonight and then every night after.
Jaffa Cake Rum will make the Old Fashioned of your dreams a stunning Daiquiri or a mesmerising Mai Tai. It no longer matters whether it’s a cake or a biscuit because now it’s a rum.
