The journey begins with luscious, compelling peach tuberose, ignited with the zest of Italian lemon, through a vibrant valley of iris, rose and Sambac Jasmine, to the destination of warm amber and vanilla. To create B+ Karen collaborated with Veronique Nyberg, the French perfumier behind the designer’s Runaway, Runaway Azure and Monumental fragrances. Veronique was inspired by the uplifting story behind the fragrance. “As a perfumer always in a good mood, the creation of B+ was the opportunity to put my optimism in a scent. To achieve this, I used numerous very colourful ingredients, which give the fragrance its super-joyful character, and which, right through to the drydown, enrobe it with nuances as sparkling as they are addictive.”
With her doctorate in Organic Chemistry and an encyclopaedic knowledge of obscure and rare botanicals, Veronique developed a vibrant new facet from the original B Eau de Parfum. “The co-distilling of peach and tuberose flower together creates a dual dimension: a luminous fruity facet which is very chic, but also a more textured floral facet, as luxurious as it is sensual,” says Veronique. “The objective with B+ was to bring an excess of energy and optimism, which is why we decided to replace the bergamot with Italian lemon, engorged with sunshine, which, married with the bright spiciness of pepper, gives the fragrance an unrivalled effervescence and luminosity.” “B+ then evolves towards a powerful ambery floral, in which the gourmandise is accentuated thanks to an overdose of vanilla and comforting musks. B+ aspires to be as addictive as happiness.” “B+ is bursting with more possibilities than ever,” says Karen.
