92 points “Very penetrating Albariño with fresh green herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice. The palate is creamy wrapped in lees. Very long finish.” – Decanter World Wine Awards 2020
In the late 1980s La Rioja Alta decided to stop making white Rioja and instead bought a vineyard in Galicia and created this wonderfully aromatic Albariño. Packed with citrus quince and orchard fruits it has become a classic and has even been described by The Sunday Times as “one of the best Albariños on the market”.
Lagar de Cervera Albariño comes from La Rioja Alta’s vineyards in O Rosal and Cambados Rías Baixas. Summery lively and undeniably loveable; pair this with sunshine light lunches and laughter.
Formed in 1890 by three families – the Ardanzas the Aranas and the Alberdis – La Rioja Alta sets the benchmark for the entire Rioja region. They're famed for their classic Spanish reds which are aged for an inordinately long time making them a go-to for all connoisseurs of Rioja. But their new ventures such as Lagar de Cervera are opening new doors.
