The Grand Siècle 25 Champagne is a tri-vintage blend of 2006, 2007 and 2008, taken from a selection of nine Grand Crus with a 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir ratio – the highest percentage of Chardonnay ever used in an Iteration, and aged for 12 years on lees. The enchanting nose reveals zesty citrus and just-baked brioche while the palate produces amazing freshness with toasted nutty undertones. The exceptional aromatic depth of Iteration 25 beautifully unwinds showing a complex and textural core that will evolve even more brilliantly in the cellar.
Having been founded in 1812 by André-Michel Pierlot in the village of Tours-sur-Marne, it was then the Nonancourt family who have made Laurent Perrier the famous Champagne House it is today. Bernard De Nonacourt is credited with creating the house style, centred on freshness, finesse and elegance reflected in each and every one of its Champagnes. This unique Champagne House has created its prestige cuvée, Grand Siècle, not from one vintage Champagne but instead from a blend of vintages. Each “iteration” is produced from three vintages, carefully selected by the Cellar Master, currently Maximilien Bernardeau having been passed the baton in January 2023 from the long serving Michel Fauconnet.
