For six generations the Legras family has been part of the wine industry in the famous Côtes des Blancs Grand Cru village of Chouilly just south of Épernay. François Legras and his wife Brigitte Haas founded Legras & Haas in 1991 and their family business is now run by their three sons. The rosé from this traditional Champagne house is crafted using Pinot Meunier from Leuvrigny Pinot Noir from Les Riceys and Épernay and Chardonnay from Chouilly and Vitry. That complexity of terroir coupled with 36 months of ageing on the lees in the bottle create a powerful and concentrated Champagne. We adore the elegant texture combined with the dazzling toasted brioche freshly baked bread red cherries redcurrants raspberry sorbet strawberry mousse and pink grapefruit flavours. Although punchy the high proportion of Chardonnay keeps it fresh and that makes it a gastronomic treat that can be kept flowing from the aperitif through the meal.
