Blown from ultra-thin lead-free crystal, the Lobmeyr Water 12 pitcher has walls so fine they look almost weightless in your hand. It's mouth-blown into wooden forms by Viennese glassmakers, at a house founded in 1823.
Product Highlights
- Shape drawn from a Baroque copper cup in MAK Vienna's collection, a centuries-spanning lineage
- Hans Harald Rath's 1952 Alpha design, a 1964 'Gute Form' prize winner and mid-century classic
- Compact, balanced proportions for a comfortable, steady grip as you pour
- 12.1cm diameter and 20.7cm height for a table-friendly size
- Hand wash in lukewarm water with a soft sponge, as the fine walls aren't dishwasher safe
Best For
- Mid-century modernist interiors where you want 1950s design out on show
- Collectors of heritage European art glass building a Viennese collection
- Formal dinner parties where your tableware is the focal point
- Wedding or anniversary gifts that arrive ready-boxed
