Think Burgundy on a road trip to Saint-Tropez.

Located on the site on an ancient monastery Domaine de Valmoissine is the legendary Louis Latour’s outpost in Var Southern France just inland from the French Riviera. The vineyards around the charming village of Moissac-Bellevue sit at a very similar altitude to the Grands Crus of Burgundy. In fact the grapes ripen at around the same time as those of Corton. Silky and fruity this Pinot Noir is their signature wine and it carries all the hallmarks of a great Burgundy but with just a touch more cherry and strawberry fruit. We will be sipping this all summer long with those light lunches that turn into long luxurious evenings.

Established in the town of Aloxe-Corton in 1797 Louis Latour remains truly independent to this day. In 1997 they were admitted into the Hénokiens an exclusive club for companies that remain family owned have a history of 200 years' experience and still bear the name of their founders. On top of which they have become one of Burgundy’s most respected producers and the largest owner of Grand Cru sites in the entire region. That’s some remarkable power and longevity. But this is not a business happy to rest on its laurels they’ve practiced sustainable farming since the 1980s and have even started to expand into areas outside of Burgundy.
